π¦ Magic Of Thailand Fest, 44 Years Of Brunswick Fest & Rockwater Seafront Fun!
From a Seven Dials book sale and vintage treasure at the MET Flea to outdoor cult horror at Preston Manor and Flight of the Conchords comedy.
Hello, Brighton & Hove!
If you had "mid-August heatwave, three simultaneous festivals, and a sudden urge to learn Thai kickboxing" on your weekend bingo card, congratulations, Brighton is delivering in full. Weβve reached that glorious peak summer sweet spot where the calendar is so packed you practically need a wall chart just to track which seafront lawn is hosting which party.
Whether youβre planning to graze your way through Preston Park, kick back on the grass at Brunswick Square, or simply hide from the sun with a freezing pint and a proper record spinning, the city has you completely covered. Grab a cold drink, slap on the factor 50, and letβs get into it.
Letβs dive into the weekend!
Here is whatβs squawking this week:
πΊ Award-winning pub pairs plant-based eats with great vinyl tunes.
π Sunset silent disco hits Hove beach.
π¬ Outdoor screening of Evil Dead II at Preston Manor.
πΈ Flight of the Conchords tribute hits Hove.
π΄ Reggae party with Bob Marley tribute heads to BOAT.

π¨ Jules Emporium
Stepping onto New Road always brings a distinct energy, but Jules Emporium stands out as a genuine creative haven. Spanning three delightfully curated rooms right in the heart of Brightonβs cultural quarter, this boutique gallery and shop has spent its years celebrating the weird, the wonderful, and the undeniably artistic.
Most people don't know just how much is packed behind its doors. Instead of sticking to one thing, they seamlessly blend a fine art gallery with a treasure trove of independent goods, featuring everything from original paintings and hand-crafted jewellery to vintage finds, candles, and oddities. Itβs a dedicated space for showcasing an incredible wealth of talent, bringing together artists and makers from right here in Sussex and far beyond.
What I love most is how the space constantly shifts between hosting interactive workshops, creative events, and regular gallery exhibitions; thereβs always something new to discover.
π 5 New Road, BN1 1UF
π Open every day: 11am-5pm
π° Original art, handmade jewellery, vintage & unique gifts

πΊ Earth And Stars
Sitting in this Windsor Street gem on a scorching afternoon a few days back, with the big windows thrown wide open to create that effortless inside-out vibe, it struck me just how seamlessly kick-back the place is. I was sipping a freezing cold pint and listening to the staff spin a genuinely fantastic selection of vinyl records. In fact, the tunes were so spot-on I had to pop over to the bar just to compliment and ask about some of the tracks being played.
Positioned as a gateway to the Laines, this award-winning, plant-based powerhouse recently swept the BRAVOs, taking top spot as Plant Champions and placing second for Best Brighton Pub. Beyond the incredible food and chilled summer atmosphere, they also host a whole heap of fantastic events, so it is well worth keeping an eye on their upcoming calendar. If you want a proper cold drink, immaculate music, and an unbeatable laid-back energy, this is absolute perfection.
