🌿 hózhó wellness | massage | lifestyle

Opened in November 2023, hózhó (pronounced h/o/zho) is a truely unique massage studio in North Laine, rooted in the Navajo concept of harmony, balance, and beauty.

Founders Charlotte and Glenn have built a calm, nurturing space that blends therapeutic treatments with curated wellness products — all designed to help you reconnect and reset. They’re also finalists for Best New Business in the Brighton & Hove Business Awards 2025, a testament to their growing impact in the community.

They offer bespoke massage therapy tailored to your needs, drawing on holistic, deep tissue, aromatherapy, and meridian flow techniques with memberships available for £50/month. Their shop is just as thoughtful, with everything from Italian blankets to massage tools and fitness gear — creating a haven where healing meets design.

🍺 The Hand in Hand

Tucked away in Kemptown, the Hand in Hand isn’t your average pub. It’s the world’s smallest working tower brewery, this tiny, character-packed boozer is where Hand Brew Co was born. While most brewing now takes place at their high-spec site in Worthing, the pub still produces one-off specials and seasonal beers right on-site.

Inside, it’s cosy, mismatched, and full of charm. You’ll find Hand Brew Co beers on cask and keg, plus guest taps, Belgian bottles, and low/zero alcohol options. The snacks are ‘British Tapas’ (crisps and nuts), but they happily encourage you to order food in from your favourite local takeaway!

🎷 Live Jazz – Sundays from 8pm
Curated by local legend Jason, featuring top Brighton talent and international guests.

🕺 DJs – Saturdays from 8pm ‘til close
Expect Afrobeat, soul, funk, and vinyl rarities from Brighton’s best selectors.
